Oh so happy. So happy. Yay science background bias. Yay funding science.

I had another epiphany in the shower last week. Showers are amazing.
But as I dried off, my thoughts wandered to shower epiphanies. Why do I feel more clairvoyant in the shower? Why do showers produce such clear thoughts? Also, why am I not alone in feeling this way? Why have I heard from others that they share similar experiences?
My conclusion is that a daily shower is the only time throughout the day wherein an individual does not (likely) have external stimuli. In a plain looking stall, with the sound of water rushing over one’s ears, and in my case, occassional blindness without corrective lenses, our overstimulated minds have little else to turn to but personal thoughts.
How sad is it that the senses are only cleared for 15 minutes a day?
While I actively try to engage in self-reflection, this recent shower epiphany has led me to the realization that I want to engage in more meditative activities. Usually, I think whilst biking, walking, eating, “learning” in class, etc. I have allocated too little time to just think.
I would drive this if I was Mrs. Officer.
