I read an old (1980) copy of Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States. It was a bit amusing to see how cyclical history really is. And how our progress seems both stunted and accelerated depending on how one chooses to look at our society. Socialism, feminism, you know, you know…
I saw Toy Story 3: An IMAX 3D Experience last night with LeeBen. I was starting to tear up at points! I’m so sad about the teddy bear though. So cuuute. But it was a very heart-tugging tale. A good way to end the saga!
I just read Healing Hepatitis C. One of the most interesting parts is that one of the authors is a Kennedy and refers to cousin Maria [Shriver] and Uncle Teddy. Another interesting piece is that the other author is a Harvard trained physician who has elected to work among and with the most marginalized populations in our country (addicts, homeless, incarcerated individuals). Respect.
I watched Babies several weeks ago. I highly recommended it. In no other movie did I root for the protagonists as I did in this film.
