About

I created this blog a few months after I became addicted to my Google Reader.  I wanted a way to document things I found interesting so that I could look back when I am older.  This blog also became useful for sharing information with my significant other, who used to copy and paste all the links I’d send him over the course of the day so he’d be able to check them out after work.

Later, I unexpectedly discovered that some of the content I shared were considered interesting by other people.  I’m humbled that other people choose to check pootimes, given the vast quantity of information out there and the more personal origins.  Thanks for visiting!

Q&A

Why is the blog named “pootimes”?
A: I took “times” from the popular use in newspaper titles, as many things I wanted to share were news-related.  “poo” came because many of the items I wanted to share were sad.  I was not very creative in naming my blog.

Where did the version names come from?
Version 1 was “silly apple” because there was a cute apple with a speech bubble in the WordPress layout I first used.  Version 2 is “green leaf” because of the green leaf at the bottom of the second layout I am using.  I could be artistic/poetic and say it represents a brand new era of pootimes, but that’d be lying.

When do you update your blog?
Whenever I am procrastinating, which is to say more frequently than I should.  Around class periods, during meal times, actively avoiding my to-do list.  I post sporadically, no specific timeframe (but setting up a time would help with the procrastination…).
